Coaches Take on 18U Players in Annual Charity Game Benefiting the Branford Soup Kitchen
EAST HAVEN, CT — The ice will heat up on Monday, November 24th at 6:00 PM as the Elite Hockey AAA Coaches face off against their own 18U Players in a fun-filled, high-energy charity game — all in support of the Branford Soup Kitchen.
This annual “Coaches vs. Players” matchup is more than just a friendly rivalry — it’s a chance for the entire community to come together, celebrate the holiday spirit, and give back to local families in need. Fans can expect exciting, competitive hockey, plenty of laughs, and the kind of energy that only comes when bragging rights are on the line.
Everyone attending is encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate. All proceeds and collected goods will go directly to benefit the Branford Soup Kitchen, helping provide meals and support for families during the holiday season.
“It’s one of our favorite nights of the year,” said director Peter Alden. “You get great hockey, great people, and the chance to make a real difference.”
So lace up your skates, grab your family and friends, and join us for a fun night on the ice that combines community spirit, competition, and compassion.
