Guilford, Conn.— The Elite Hockey Program, a proud member of the Atlantic Youth Hockey League (AYHL) and East Coast Elite League (ECEL), announceCJ Blaszka as the assistant coach at the 15U Level under head coach Peter Gintoli.
“I’m extremely excited to join the Elite Hockey Program as an assistant coach for the 15U team this upcoming season. I’ve known Pete Gintoli for a long time and he’s someone who’s not only excelled in hockey but is passionate about the game and helping players learn and develop so it will be a lot of fun coaching alongside someone like that. I hope that I can help our players develop and grow not only as players, but as people in general, and achieve their goals,” said Blaszka.
Blaszka spent two years playing at South Kent School and then played junior hockey with the Walpole Express for two years, being caption his second year. Blaszka attended Saint Anselm College (NCAA II/III) in the NEHLwhere he tallied 18 goals and 13 assists in 78 games. After his collegiate career he played a year of pro in the FHLfor the Carolina Thunderbirds where he finished with 10 goals and 33 assists in a total of 54 games.
As for his coaching experience, Blaszka worked as a skills coach for IPH Hockey for the last two summers and will also be joining our Blended Learning Program as a skills coach.
Elite Hockey Program President and General Manager Peter Alden said, “We are excited to add CJ Blaszka to our organization. He has some great prior experience that will help our organization continue to grow.”
Blaszka added, “As I said before I’m extremely excited and I couldn’t be more thankful to Peter Alden and Gintoli for giving me the opportunity to be a part of such a great organization.”
