Guilford, Conn., - The Elite Hockey Program and the Elite Prep Academy are proud to welcome two new members to our ever-evolving and innovative team! Experienced educators Teresa Garceau and Jessemyn Libero are set to join Mitch Brown and our Elite Prep Academy this coming fall!

They will be in the classroom full-time with all of our Elite Prep Academy students, thus enhancing the already engaging academic program we provide to our student athletes. The credentials of these two outstanding women don’t simply end with their resumes; they also bring enthusiasm and personalities that will facilitate an active learning environment. Not to mention they both also have athletic backgrounds with their kids competing in multiple sports! Continue reading to find out more about our two new Elite Prep Academy teachers!

Teresa Garceau

Elite Hockey Program is proud to welcome Teresa Garceau to our Elite Prep Academy teaching team! For the past 23 years, Teresa accumulated ample teaching experience in the Guilford Public School system. Not only does she have a bachelor’s degree in English and Education from Albertus Magnus College, she also has her master’s degree in Library Science from Southern Connecticut State University. Her professional background is nothing short of impressive, and we are beyond excited to welcome yet another amazing person to our team!

Having young hockey players of her own, she understands the thrill and passion that comes with playing the sport of hockey. She exclaims, “I learned that being involved in anything my children loved, watching them face challenges and grow was the greatest reward of all and I get to do it again! I am beyond thrilled to join the team at Elite Hockey. The process is near and dear to my heart and I get to assist in academics and support these young men with life’s lessons!”

Jessemyn Libero

We are extremely excited to welcome Jessemyn Libero to our Elite Prep Academy team! She will be bringing her bachelor’s degree in Social Science and minor in history to our classroom. She also has a strong corporate background as a leader in the Medical Device Industry. This is where she developed her passion for both team-building and the pursuit of excellence. She also has experience with tutoring. All in all, she strives to help kids find their way to academic success!

Jessemyn lives with her family in North Haven.  She has three driven children, and not surprisingly is a seasoned hockey mom. Her oldest is a three-season varsity athlete and academic scholar heading off to American University in DC.  She is excited to guide and support the Elite Hockey players as they navigate the path of both athletic and academic excellence. Jessemyn writes, “I am so excited to be joining the Elite Hockey Prep Academy.  It is a privilege to support these young men and to be able to help propel them to their goals. All while being part of the best sport in the world.”

"This is an exciting time for our program as we continue to grow and attract highly qualified professionals to surround our student-athletes.   Not only are Jessemyn and Teresa experienced and knowledgeable but they are also very motivated and passionate about teaching and furthering the students education.  I look forward to working with Mitch, Teresa and Jessemyn!" Said EHP President, Peter Alden
