Elite Golden Knights – EHL

EHL Junior Hockey | Launching 2026–2027
A new standard for junior hockey development in Connecticut.
The Elite Golden Knights are the newest expansion franchise in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), officially approved by the league’s Board of Governors. The team will begin play in the 2026–2027 season, based out of Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Owned and operated by Elite Hockey Academy (EHA), the Elite Golden Knights extend a proven development model into junior hockey, creating a clear, structured pathway from youth to prep to junior to college hockey.
Built for Development. Designed for Advancement.
The Elite Golden Knights are built on EHA’s established foundation of:
- Daily on-ice skill development
- Strength & conditioning
- Video analysis
- Academic structure
- Consistent exposure and accountability
This is not a standalone junior team.
It is the next level of a vertically integrated development system designed for players serious about reaching the college level and beyond.
Why the EHL?
The EHL was selected intentionally for its:
- Proven college advancement record
- Development-first philosophy
- High organizational standards
- Competitive, resource-driven environment
The league’s mission aligns directly with EHA’s core belief:
development first, advancement always.
A Message from Ownership
This is a major milestone for our organization and for hockey development in New England. The EHL aligns perfectly with our philosophy—development first, structured environment, and advancement as the ultimate goal. Establishing the Elite Golden Knights allows us to provide our players with a disciplined, development-driven junior environment that prepares them for the next level both on and off the ice.”
— Peter Alden, Owner & Director
