18U Academy Coaches

Matt Beck is a former University of Vermont goaltender who most recently served as an Assistant Coach in the USHL with the Omaha Lancers. In addition to his time behind the bench, Matt also worked as Director of Player Personnel and Video at the University of Nebraska Omaha, gaining valuable experience in player evaluation, systems implementation, and video analysis. He brings elite junior hockey experience, detailed preparation, and a structured, development-focused approach that helps players understand and execute at a high level.

Devin Edgerton brings extensive professional playing experience across Europe and the United States, competing in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and North America. Having played in multiple high-level systems and competitive environments, Devin understands what it takes to succeed at the professional level. He brings a pro mindset, accountability, and a high standard of compete to the rink each day, helping players develop habits that translate beyond youth and junior hockey.

Phil Esposito brings a strong background in both professional playing and coaching, with experience in the ECHL and SPHL along with years of hands-on player development. Phil most recently served as Head Coach of our 16U Academy team, where he helped establish a culture built on accountability, pace, and attention to detail. His ability to connect with players while pushing them to reach higher standards continues to elevate the overall environment within the program.

Jake Fuss returns to EHA as an alumnus who understands firsthand the expectations and culture of the academy. A State Player of the Year and state champion at Fairfield Warde, Jake went on to win a Robertson Cup before starring at the University of New England, where he made two Frozen Four appearances. He later played professionally in Huntsville, Germany, and Macon, gaining valuable experience at the next level. Jake brings recruiting insight, recent high-level playing experience, and a genuine passion for mentorship and player development to the bench.
