Guilford, Conn., - The Elite Hockey Program, proud member of the Atlantic Youth Hockey League (AYHL) and East Coast Elite League (ECEL), have announced Peter Gintoli has been named the team’s new 15U (2004) head coach.

Gintoli is locked in as the 15U Midget Minor coach here at Elite Hockey. (Before coming to Elite Peter played 1 season Minor Pro with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs in the Southern Professional Hockey League *16-17) The native of the Constitution State also completed his four-year college career in 2016.

Peter spent four years at Salve Regina where he was a productive scorer for the Seahawks. He scored 82 points over 97 games in his career playing at Salve Regina. While at Salve Regina he was a part of the 2016 ECAC Northeast Champion team that qualified for the NCAA DIII National Tournament.

Besides being a coach here for Elite Hockey, Peter is currently the captain for the USA Deaf National Team. As a result, Peter has been able to play all over the world while representing his country. These locations include Canada, Finland, Russia, and Italy.  Most recently, the team earned a Gold Medal in the 2017 World Championships in Buffalo, NY.

Since being here at Elite Hockey, he has helped to lead our program to the New England Regionals. Along with team success comes with the players receiving honors. He sent 10 players to the ECEL All-Star Game at Matthews Arena in Boston. This comes because of his belief in the skill development of our players. As a result, he has helped Jake Lammens develop and commit to St. Lawerence University.  But most important to Peter is helping our kids to become good responsible young adults.

Gintoli was influenced by his coaches to become a coach. These names include the former coach of Wisconsin Jeff Sauer, David Lassonde associate Head Coach at Dartmouth, Andy Boschetto - Niagara University and Kevin Delaney Skating Coach of the six-time Stanley Cup Champions Chicago Blackhawks.
