Elite Hockey Program Players Selected at ECEL All-Star Games at Northeastern!

Guilford, Conn., - On Friday, January 11, the East Coast Elite League (ECEL) presents its All-Star games at Northeastern University followed by the Winter Classic Showcase, January 11-13, 2019. It will be an exciting weekend for the nominated players and Elite Hockey Program players that will be well represented. Seventeen Elite Hockey Program players were selected to participate in this year’s event, along with 16U head coach, Peter Alden and 15U head coach, Peter Gintoli.

Selected from the 15U team: Madden Powers, Audran Schneider, Logan Nickerson, Max Maisano, Gavin Frack, Brody Trew, Mika Petersen, Tyler Lee, Sawyer Paul, D’Mar McCoy

Selected from the 16U team: Jon Horn, TJ Santaita, Charlie Cocuzzo, Ryan Nocerino, Aidan Coupe, Owen Sweet and Jake Lammens.  Alternates also include Gary Claps and Chase Conlon.

The festivities will start off with guest appearances from renowned NESN sports broadcaster, Courtney Cox and saxophonist, Elan Trotman who has topped the Billboard charts over 10 times. Both Cox and Trotman will be on site at Northeastern to greet all the players at the 15U, 16U and 18U levels.

After the ECEL All-Star festivities are over, the Elite Hockey Program 16U & 15U teams will compete in a four game round robin game showcase at Pilgrim Arena located in Hingham, MA, January 11-13, 2019.

The 16U Elite Hockey Program will take on Bishop’s College from Quebec, NJ Titans, Boston Advantage and West Coast Renegades from Utah.

The 15U Elite Hockey Program will look to continue their winning ways they take on Boston Advantage, NJ Titans and West Coast Renegades.

Director Peter Alden has this to say, “The ECEL league is growing and it's strong," he said. It is great that we have so many players recognized to play in the ECEL All-Star game. It will be a fun event. The Elite Hockey Program is growing in the right way and we are proud of all of our players in coaches.”

The East Coast Elite League’s Showcase Series is designed to provide top competition and exposure for the elite teams, and organizations, throughout the country. The League’s members will compete in four weekend showcases, culminating with league playoffs in February of 2019.
