Lincoln Hatten Commits to West Point

Guilford, Connecticut,. - After an impressive showing at the NAHL Showcase, the Elite Hockey Program is pleased to announce that forward Lincoln Hatten has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Army West Point!

Hatten, a 6'3/190 lbs. pound native of Allen, Texas had a solid rookie campaign last season in 2017-18 with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights tallying 10 points in 47 regular season games. Hatten, 18, then took his game to the next level during the playoffs as the Knights won the East Division and advanced to the Robertson Cup Finals in May. Hatten put up five points in seven games during the Knights' run to the finals.

“Growing up I learned a lot about my family history in the military and I thought it would be a great way to honor my family to attend West Point,” said Hatten. “I feel like Army will give me an opportunity of lifetime to learn a lot about myself and my character as well as help me reach the career goals I set for myself.”

I am happy for Lincoln” said Elite Hockey Program President, Peter Alden. “I’m glad to see his hard work payoff. West Point is getting a great person and player” stated Alden.

Prior to playing in the NAHL, Hatten spent two seasons playing for the Elite Hockey Program.

With Hatten's commitment to Army, the Elite Hockey Program now have three players that have committed in the 2018-2019 season.

About the Elite Hockey Program:

The Elite Hockey Program operates out of the Northford Ice Pavilion in Northford, CT.  The Elite Hockey Program is located right outside of New Haven, CT, just a few miles away from NCAA division one powerhouses, Yale University and Quinnipiac University.  The Northford Ice Pavilion is a three sheet facility, equipped with custom locker rooms for the Elite Hockey teams and 5,000 sq. ft. training facility for program’s strength and conditioning.

At the Elite Hockey Program, we provide a complete hockey experience, to help our players prepare for their next level of play. It is our developmental path that our players are given, the exposure they receive and the location we are in that makes us an attractive destination for a strong student athletes.  We strongly believe in our culture and consistency. In order to develop a more complete player, we focus our energy on individual player development and teach our players to understand how their role fits into the identity of our team’s success.
