Guilford, Connecticut - Claps had a breakout weekend at the Beantown Fall Classic against high level competition, leading the Elite Hockey Program to a record of 4-1-1 and an appearance in the semi-finals at the Beantown Fall Classic. The Beantown Classic was held at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, MA that had over 160 scouts in attendance from NHL, NCAA DI/III, Junior, Prep and more!
The 16U forward opened the scoring in Friday’s 4-1 win over the Jr Bruins by working around a defender in the slot and burying a shot for his second goal of the game. Claps then closed the game out on Saturday by contributing the game winning goal vs the Islanders Hockey Club in the 2-1 win. Claps continued to be a difference maker throughout the tournament as he blasted home a goal vs Newbridge Academy in the quarter final to help build momentum for the 16U team in their 2-1 overtime win. He finished the weekend with five points - four goals and one assist.

ABOUT THE ELITE HOCKEY PROGRAM:
The Elite Hockey Program operates out of the Northford Ice Pavilion in Northford, CT. The Elite Hockey Program is located right outside of New Haven, CT, just a few miles away from NCAA division one powerhouses, Yale University and Quinnipiac University. The Northford Ice Pavilion is a three sheet facility, equipped with custom locker rooms for the Elite Hockey teams and 5,000 sq. ft. training facility for program’s strength and conditioning.
At the Elite Hockey Program, we provide a complete hockey experience, to help our players prepare for their next level of play. It is our developmental path that our players are given, the exposure they receive and the location we are in that makes us an attractive destination for a strong student athletes. We strongly believe in our culture and consistency. In order to develop a more complete player, we focus our energy on individual player development and teach our players to understand how their role fits into the identity of our team’s success.
