Guilford, Conn., - There’s a lot of optimism surrounding the Elite Hockey Program for next season, and most of it rests in the well-regarded group of returning players and incoming players who will suit up for the program this fall.

The Elite Hockey Program has been able to solidify top players from the heart of Connecticut along with attracting players from all over United States and Internationally.  The 18U, 16U, 15U & 14U levels all have a lot of promise for the upcoming 2018-2019 season.   The Elite Hockey Program will continue to skate out of the state of art facility Northford Ice Pavilion and participate in the highly regarded AYHL, East Coast Elite League and fall prep league.

“We’re excited about all the returning players and the new additions to our program this year.” Alden said. “We think as a staff, we have been able to establish a “gold standard” and expectation from our returners and I think the addition of our new players will raise the bar even further.”

The 15U Elite Hockey Program was totally revamped and we are excited about the amount of interest we received overall at this level, along with the committed players who made the team.   Coach Peter Gintoli and Luke Curadi were determined to sign a great group of young men that have talent, a terrific work ethic and strong leadership skills.

The 15U Elite Hockey Program was also able to build around its core and attract top talent, that include newcomers, forward Max Maisano, forward Brody Trew, forward Jack Badeer, defender Mika Peterson, defender Kai Konstantino and goaltender D’Mar McCoy. We have also added some dynamic players from across the United States, forward Madden Powers, forward Gavin Frack, defender Tyler Lee, all from California and power forward Lucas Moore from Alabama.   The key returners for the 15U program include forward Logan Nickerson, defender Sawyer Paul, defender Audren Schnieder, and goaltender Graham Day.

“The trend for players is to rush to play up.  The 15U Pure level offers tremendous development for our players.” 15U Head Coach, Peter Gintoli Said. “Everyone’s different, and everyone develops differently. If you’re patient and embrace the process, players will see how quickly they develop into well prepared hockey players.”

The Elite Hockey Program will enter its third season in 2018 and every year, the Elite Hockey Program has managed to attract quality players to Connecticut from all over North America. This isn’t something foreign to Alden or his staff, who also had stops at Connecticut Wolf Pack, where he helped rebuild programs into national championship winners – 2015 Tier 1 18U USA Hockey National Champions.  “We feel the groups coming in have the drive to start turning the corner for the Elite Hockey Program to become a national competitor.”
