Split Season 18U AAA Prep Team | Program Details

Guilford, Conn., - The Elite Hockey Program is pleased to announce another strong option in the 2018-2019 season with the 18U Fall Prep team, coached by Trinity College Assistant, Scott Munroe!  The 18U fall prep team is a prep school friendly team that will play strictly on the weekends at top flight events throughout the fall.  Spots are filling fast, so please inquire today! 

U18 Prep Team (’99 – ’02): The U18 Elite team is made up of prep school players from all over New England.  The 18U prep team will solely play games on the weekends, Saturday evening and Sunday mornings with the exception of tournaments, where Friday night games could be scheduled. There will be no practice with this team.  The structure of this program is to expose players to elite competition, Division I & III colleges, NHL Scouts and help them better prepare for their upcoming prep school season.  This team will play 20 – 25 games over the course of the fall season.  The season will start August 26th and end November 4, 2018.

Meet Head Coach, Scott Munroe: (born January 20, 1982) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who predominately played in the American Hockey League (AHL). He is currently serving as an assistant coach with Trinity College.  Munroe played NCAA Division I hockey at the University of Alabama in Huntsville from 2002-2006.   Munroe earned College Hockey America co-Player of the Year honors following his senior year. He also earned CHA Rookie of the Year honors for his play as a freshman. Munroe signed with the Philadelphia Flyers on April 16, 2006 and continued to play in other NHL organizations such as Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers and more.  Monroe finished up his playing career in 2015, announcing his retirement from professional hockey in serving as an assistant coach, with the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League 2016-2017 and then continued his coaching career in accepting an assistant role with NCAA Division III participant, Trinity College of Connecticut for the 2017–18 season.

  • October 12- 14, 2018 – ECC College Cup – Boston University, Warrior, Bentley University – Boston, MA
  • October 27 -28, 2018 – ECC Prep Cup – TBD
