On Saturday, October 28th, the Elite Hockey Academy was honored to hold a fundraising event called “Kids Helping Kids”. This event was attended by over 300 people who came together for an afternoon of fun while helping support kids fighting cancer. We not only brought together our hockey community but many local families and friends who donated $2,000 to help fight childhood cancer.  

 

Our event honored, Ben Rabinowitz, a local Branford resident currenting fighting acute myeloid leukemia. Unfortunately, Ben was in the hospital at the time and was unable to attend. This past week, our players were able to meet Ben and provide him with a signed hockey jersey and stick. It brought a huge smile to his face.

 

Donations were sent to the Tommy Fund and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
