Guilford, Conn. -- The Elite Hockey Academy(EHA), honors the top performers of the week! Keep up the great work on and off the ice!

How has your experience been at EHA?
My experience is incredible, everyone helps me to be the best version of myself and helps me when it's more difficult and for hockey the coaches are really invested to help us develop and  push us to be our best on the ice.

How do you prepare for Game Day?
I always wake up, make breakfast, do some stretching, take a nap, take a shower and get ready for the game.

What goals would you like to accomplish for the first half of the season?
Be the best version of myself on and off the ice, help the team as much as I can and try to improve my weaknesses as much as possible.

Sam Tayloe
18U Forward
Littleton, CO, USA
Senior at Notre Dame of West Haven
Stat Line: 5 Goals, 6 Assists, 11 Points

How has your experience been at EHA?
I have loved the experience so far. I really enjoy being around the boys all day at school and practice and I think it really helps to build a sense of family amongst the team that I haven’t felt before. I’ve enjoyed every moment of mentorship I’ve received on and off the ice from coaches and overall love the development aspect of the organization.

How do you prepare for Game Day?
I prepare for game days by making sure I wake up early enough to get food in throughout the day and making sure I stay active leading up to the game by going on short jogs or a quick bike session.

What goals would you like to accomplish for the first half of the season?
A couple of goals I wish to accomplish before Christmas break are that I want to continue to grow my skills and stay consistent in my off ice training and the way I eat. I also want to continue to produce each game and provide our team with the best chance at winning each time I step on the ice.

Baron Novorolsky
16U Forward
New Lenox, IL, USA
Junior at Notre Dame of West Haven
Stat Line: 4 Goals, 8 Assists, 12 Points

How has your experience been at EHA?
U16 is a big development year and Peter Alden at EHA runs intense weekly game preparation practices challenging me to push myself beyond my personal limits. This helps build confidence and mindset to prepare to compete at the higher levels.

How do you prepare for Game Day?
Game prep both mental and physical are important to me. I listen to music and use visualizing techniques to get me into the right mindset. We complete a dynamic warm-up as a team and I like to do stretches outside the team unique to me in prepping my body for the game.

What goals would you like to accomplish for the first half of the season?
I have a lot to accomplish this season and some I want to attain by Christmas break. As I work to build my confidence with the puck and be better positionally it will lead me to scoring more and meet a few of my goals.

Ethan Anderson
16U Defenseman.
Stratford, PE, CAN
Junior at Notre Dame of West Haven

Stat Line: 2 Goals, 10 Assists, 12 Points

How has your experience been at EHA?
Being apart of Elite Hockey Academy has taught me to not only set self goals but also big team goals.

How do you prepare for Game Day?

I get ready for games by getting in a good warm up and following my pre game superstitions…one of them is putting on my gear right to left.

What goals would you like to accomplish for the first half of the season?

Before Christmas break, I hope to continue to contribute more offensively.

Nathan Torres
10U Squirt Minor, Forward

Nathan had a bounce back weekend returning from a back injury by "putting the team on his back".  Nathan scored a hat trick on Sunday, capping it off with a coast to coast breakaway snipe. Nathan is a very good stick handler and sees the ice well.  He is a very coachable kid who puts the team first.  You could feel the team had extra energy this weekend with him back on the bench. Added Head Coach Alex Stevens

Aberdeen (Ireland) Suppies
8U Mite, Defense

Abby shows up to practice ready to put in 100% effort in every drill, every rep.  She has made tremendous growth in her defensive position since the beginning of the season and continues to hold the line and look for offensive opportunities to advance the play.  She is a great teammate on and off the ice, said Coach Steve Minio.
