ELITE HOCKEY ACADEMY 12U PEE WEE MINOR TEAM WINS CHAMPIONSHIP AT 2023 ANDY NOEL COLUMBUS DAY TOURNAMENT
On Columbus Day weekend, Elite Hockey Academy's 12U Pee Wee Minor team competed in the 24th Annual Wallingford Hawks 2023 Andy Noel Columbus Day Tournament, winning their respective division. Lead by a stellar performance by goalie Michael Snedeker, the 12U Elite Hockey Academy team finished with a 3-1 record with 16 goals scored against 4 allowed.
Elite lost their first game in pool play to Greater New Haven Warriors but found themselves in a rematch for the Championship coming out on top 2-1.
“Late in the second period, Brayden Alexander stole the puck in the neutral zone transitioning to a quick 3 on 1 with linemates Gavin Johnson and Michael Brockett. Alexander pulled the defender over and slid the puck to Johnson who scored. The game would continue to go back and forth with Snedeker coming up big each time the Warriors posed a threat. Congrats to a great team effort to bring home the championship!”, said Coach Rob Salzano.
“The only one who tells you ‘you can’t win’ is you. And you don’t have to listen” Jessica Emmis-Hill.
The 12U Elite Hockey Academy Pee Wee Minors continue their season this weekend playing on Saturday at 10:00 am v. NJ Avalanche and 4:15 pm v. NJ Devils in New Jersey.
