Guilford, CT – Elite Hockey Academy is proud to announce our 18U/16U Academy-Youth Mentorship Program being offered to our current EHA membership for the remainder of the 2022-2023 season.

The goal of our program will be to match up 18U and 16U academy players with our younger 12U and 10U student-athletes. Mentors will be assigned to one or two younger student-athletes and act as role models. They can work on academics as well as improving hockey skills with their younger athletes. Each mentor will volunteer time once a week to work with their student-athlete(s) sharing their own knowledge and experiences. This can be through homework, on and off-ice training, as well as video reviews from games. The focus of their time together is fun, gaining confidence and developing new skills. 

This is an exciting opportunity for both our 18U/16 mentors and young student-athletes as we continue to strive to make a difference within our community. We hope that being a part of our mentor program is one of the most incredible and fulfilling experiences for them both.  When student-athletes act as mentors, everyone wins. Mentors learn how to become better leaders, their mentees learn valuable life lessons, and their communities experience the benefits of young leaders. Mentors can have the greatest impact on our younger athletes.
