Elite Hockey Academy, in partnership with USA Hockey and Connecticut Hockey Conference, are pleased to announce the Little Elites Learn to Play hockey program for its first season! The 2022-2023 Little Elites Learn to Play Hockey program will be available for only 30 kids at the newly renovated East Haven Ice Rink in East Haven, CT.

The Little Elites program is intended for first-time boys and girls hockey players ages 4-9. The program is intended for children who have not participated in organized youth hockey programs before. This program is a unique hockey based program taught by hockey coaches and structured to get your little player ready to play. It creates a foundation for playing the game by introducing your son or daughter some beginning skills needed for playing ice hockey.

The little athletes will learn to be comfortable skating with hockey equipment on and skating with a hockey stick in their hands. They will learn to have fun on the ice with skating games and also get a little structure to help them prepare for organized hockey.

All participants will receive 12 one-hour on-ice sessions led by the Elite Hockey Academy, ADM team and also receive a personalized EHA jersey.   Our program consists of a maximum of 8:1 student/instructor ratio to ensure quality instruction.

All participants will be invited to attend the 18U Elite Hockey Academy Hockey games at the Northford Ice Pavilion for the 2022-2023 season. Little Elites will also each receive a FREE t-shirt to wear at the games!

Come join us for lots of fun, excellent development and your start to be an ELITE hockey player!  Please share to anyone you know who would like to try.

The cost is only $350 and registration will close November 10th...and it fills up very fast!

2022 Little Elites FAQ

Does my child need to know how to skate before the Little Elites Program?

No. Little Elites participants do not need any introduction to skating.  We will work with each child to build a proper foundation and skill level.

How much does Little Elites cost and what is included in the fee?

The total cost of the Little Elites Learn to Play Program is $350.  This fee covers a custom Little Elites Hockey jersey, a complimentary T-Shirt to attend 18U Elite Hockey Academy home games and 12 one-hour skating sessions at the East Haven Ice Rink in East Haven, CT. Participants can keep their jersey and t-shirt at completion of the program.

Where do we sign up for equipment fittings?

When you register for the Little Elites Learn to Play Program, you will receive a confirmation email with information on equipment fitting details.  Equipment fittings are not included, all participants can visit Hamden Sports Center or the Northford Pro Shop (203-248-9898) for fittings.  Full equipment is needed (Helmet/mask, skates, shin pads, elbow pads, hockey stick).

Who are the Little Elite coaches?

All coaches are USA Hockey certified ADM (American Development Model) coaches. Many are current Elite Hockey Academy hockey coaches and skating professionals.

I want to register my child for the Little Elites Learn to Play Program, but it is sold out. Is there a waiting list?

Each site has a maximum of 30 participants. Should a cancellation arise, we will update the website to reflect an opening in the session. Payment will be due upon acceptance.  Contact details: Peter Alden (e) Palden@EliteHockeyAAA.com.

After the completion of the Little Elites Program, where do we go from here?

We hope your child thoroughly enjoyed their experience with Little Elites and ask all graduates to continue into our spring offerings and get ready for the hockey development program in the fall of 2023.   If your child is not ready for a full season, we suggest further skating lessons to continue developing your skater's ability and confidence on the ice.
