Guilford, Conn., - The Elite Hockey Academy proud members of the Connecticut Hockey Conference (CHC), Power Prep Hockey League (PPHL), and the Atlantic Youth Hockey League (AYHL) are excited to welcome Scott Davidson to the coaching staff!

Hailing from small town Trail, BC Canada, with 20+ years of hockey experience, Scott played his junior hockey in the BCHL for his hometown, Smoke Eaters and the Chilliwack Chiefs; prior to a four year D1 career at Quinnipiac. As a freshman, Scott helped the Bobcats to their first Whitelaw Cup, on their way to a berth in the Frozen Four final vs North Dakota. Scott was named an assistant captain for his junior and senior campaigns.

After graduating Scott joined the Charlotte Checkers on their Calder Cup Championship run, followed by a year in Charleston playing for the ECHL South Carolina Stingrays. Davidson started his coaching career at the Maine Nordiques Academy playing a key role in developing players, coaching responsibilities and on-site operations.  Davidson was also part of the 18U Nordiques team that took a trip to finals at the New England Tier 1 championship.

“I’m super excited to return to Connecticut, it’s been home since my freshman year of college. I see the work that Peter Alden and the EHA Staff puts in and I can’t wait to contribute and pull the rope. This fall, I am most looking forward to being a resource for the boys. It’s rewarding to see players develop throughout the year and know that you have pushed them to their potential. I think expectations are high for the group next year, with our eyes on a National tournament appearance. I’m grateful for the opportunity Peter Alden has given me and I am eager to get started.”

The Elite Hockey Academy teams kick off their main camp from July 19th-21st in Connecticut, at Northford Ice Pavilion Arena.
