Guilford, Conn., - The Elite Hockey Academy of the East Coast Elite League (ECEL) and Atlantic Youth Hockey League (AYHL) is pleased to announce that 18U forward Tim Mattingly has signed a tender agreement to join the Northern Cyclones in the NCDC for the 2022-2023 season.

Mattingly from Fairfbanks Alaska, has been with the Elite Hockey Academy for the last three years. Elite Hockey President Peter Alden has coached him since he arrived at EHA for the 2019-20 season. “Mattingly works hard; plays an honest game.  He's a good skater with skill and finds ways to score. He has played really well this season for us and I couldn't be more excited for him."

Mattingly was excited after he signed a tender with the Northern Cyclones. Mattingly said; " I’m really excited to sign with the Northern Cyclones in the NCDC and the opportunity to play for a great organization like the Cyclones and play at the next level. I wouldn’t have reached this goal if it wasn’t for Elite Hockey Academy, the three years I’ve spent here have been tremendous for me as a player and a person." 

Mattingly is also a postgraduate (PG) student here at the Notre Dame of West Haven. This year Mattingly is earning his Postgraduate (PG) certificate working on electives, SAT prep, community service and more.

The Northern Cyclones play in the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) that is a 13-team tuition-free junior hockey league entirely located in the Northeastern United States. The league and all of its teams are fully united and dedicated to the mission of player development and advancement to college hockey. The Northern Cyclones are coached by Bill Flanagan and play out of the Cyclones Arena in Hudson, NH.
