Guilford, Conn., - The Elite Hockey Academy is excited to announce that 18U Academy forward, Michael Roby signed a tender agreement to join the New Hampshire Monarchs in the NCDC for the 2022-2023 season.

Roby has been with the Elite Hockey Academy for the last two years. Elite Hockey President Peter Alden has coached him since he arrived at EHA for the 2020-21 season. He believes that Roby has improved his game and earned this opportunity with the Monarchs. “Michael has grown tremendously over the last two years,” said Alden. Roby is a smart winger, creative, has strong offensive instincts and a great scoring touch. He's an excellent skater and he’s always in motion.  Roby is really lethal in 1v1 situations and on the power play." Alden added

Roby was excited after he signed with the New Hampshire Monarchs. Roby said; " I’m really excited to sign with the New Hampshire Monarchs in the NCDC. I firmly believe this is a great opportunity for my hockey development and gives me the ability to mature off the ice as well. Additionally, spending the last two seasons with Elite Hockey Academy, has prepared me for this next step for Junior hockey and beyond. I can’t wait to get started!"

Roby is also a postgraduate (PG) student here at the Notre Dame of West Haven. This year Roby is earning his Postgraduate (PG) certificate working on electives, SAT prep, community service and more.

The New Hampshire Monarchs play in the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) that is a 13-team tuition-free junior hockey league entirely located in the Northeastern United States. The league and all of its teams are fully united and dedicated to the mission of player development and advancement to college hockey. The New Hampshire Monarchs are coached by Clint Edinger and play out of the Tri-Town Arena in Hooksett, NH.
