Notre Dame High School and Elite Hockey Academy form partnership

WEST HAVEN - Notre Dame High School is excited to announce their partnership with Elite Hockey Academy.

The partnership between Elite Hockey Academy and Notre Dame is a unique student-athlete experience that combines Tier I hockey with an opportunity for players to challenge themselves in a college-prep classroom.

Peter Alden, President and Head Coach of Elite Hockey Academy is a 2000 alumnus of Notre Dame High School.

“It’s one of those moments in life when everything comes full circle with the announcement of this partnership,” reflected Alden. “I look back at the education and experience I received from Notre Dame, and it gave me such a head start in life. I want our players to receive that same type of experience.”

Elite Hockey Academy’s mission to serve as a catalyst to inspire young men through commitment, character, respect, and compassion for others aligns seamlessly with Notre Dame’s mission to educate the minds and hearts of young men through a Catholic, Holy Cross tradition.

Participating in councils, clubs and extracurricular activities, Elite Academy players will be an integral part of the Notre Dame community while playing an intense Tier 1 hockey schedule. Notre Dame's well-established academic curriculum will prepare players for future academic success.

Elite Hockey Academy and Notre Dame of West Haven's partnership will begin in the 2021-2022 academic year. Approximately 30 student-athletes will attend Notre Dame. The CIAC Notre Dame hockey team will remain intact. For more information about Elite Hockey Academy and the leagues in which they play, visit elitehockeyprogram.com.
