May 13, 2021, Guilford, Conn.,- The Elite Hockey Academy is happy to announce that we will welcome 2005 forward Davids Livsics from Latvia to our 16U team for the 2021-2022 season this Fall.

Elite Hockey President Peter Alden is excited about the prospect of adding someone like Livsics to the Academy. Alden expects Livsics to be an important piece of the U16's next season. “I’m excited to welcome Davids and his family to the EHA family,” said Alden. “We saw the clips of Davids, and as a staff, we decided that we needed to have this player playing for us next fall. You could see from the video that Davids possesses a lot of talent and could play the game at a high level. He’s a high-skill player who’s able to use speed and superior vision to make plays at a high level. We expect Davids to be a big part of this team and be one of our top scorers for next season.”

When reached for comment Livisics, expressed his excitement about coming over to America. “I am proud to become part of the Elite Hockey Academy. I am ready to work hard and help my team! Thank you for choosing me, I will not let anyone down!...."I’m also excited to learn about the United States and to travel around the East Coast playing hockey. .”

Davids comes to EHA after spending most of his childhood playing in Latvia for the HK Kurbads program. As a 14-year-old playing three years up, Livisics put up an impressive 31 points while dishing out 19 assists in 22 games with the Kurbads U17 team in the 2019-2020 season. Then this year, as a 15-year-old, he was able to play with the U23’s and averaged a point per game, scoring four points in four games in the Latvian Second Division.

As a program, we are excited to welcome Davids to the Academy. We look forward to seeing what Davids can do with us next season. Davids also becomes the first player from Latvia to join the Academy and will be the sixth player from Europe to play for EHA.
