ADVANCEMENT ALERT: COUPE SIGNS NCDC TENDER WITH ISLANDERS HOCKEY CLUB

Guilford, Conn.- The Elite Hockey Academy is thrilled to announce that Aidan Coupe has signed a tender agreement with the Islanders Hockey Club in the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC).

Coupe has spent two seasons with the Elite Hockey Academy.  In his first season, 2018-2019, he scored 34 goals and had 34 assists for 64 points. Currently in his second season, 2019-2020, he 19 goals and 28 assists, for 47 points.

Head Coach, Peter Alden has been coaching Coupe for the last two seasons. Alden added “I’m so proud of Aidan for taking the next step in junior hockey and signing his tender with the Islanders Hockey Club in the NCDC.   He is one of the hardest workers that I have ever coached, and he is fully committed to becoming a better player and person, everyday. I could not be more excited for this opportunity for Aidan and the bright future he has ahead of himself." 


Aidan Coupe is a 2002 forward that joined the Elite Hockey Academy from Gilbert, Arizona and has been a consistent scorer since the moment he entered the program. Coupe has been a point per game scorer each season and continues to find ways to complete his overall game. The forward is very grateful for the program and very excited for the future with the Islanders. 

“I’m extremely excited to sign my first tender with the Islanders Hockey Club of the NCDC,” said Coupe. “I would like to thank my friends, coaches, and teammates who have helped throughout my journey. I am excited to take this next step in my hockey career but could have not done it without the help of the coaches, staff, and my teammates at the Elite Hockey Academy.”

The Islanders Hockey Club has a long history of sending players to Division 1 and the professional ranks. The program has produced many players that have gone to Hockey East and ECAC Schools. Alumni include Stanley Cup Champions Zach Sanford, Brian Dumoulin, and Trevor Van Riemsdyk.  To learn more about the NCDC, CLICK HERE.
