U18 Makes Splash in the Semis-Finals of Tier 1 New England Regionals

This past weekend, the U18 squad traveled to Boston to compete in the New England District Regionals, ultimately advancing to the semi-finals. During round robin play the team was dominant, beating both the Northern Cyclones Premier and Prep teams and outscoring them 9-2 in the process. They were met in the semi-finals by 7th-ranked Mount St. Charles Academy of Rhode Island and lost in a close 5-3 game.

"As a coach you like to see guys get rewarded from all the hard work that they do,” Alden said. “I think as teammates, it helps create a positive vibe in the locker room when you see guys that work hard and come so close to advancing to the national stage."

The U18s welcome the Washington Little Caps to town this weekend for a two-game homestand. The start times for the games are 6:45 PM on Saturday and 9:10 AM on Sunday.

U16 Premier Winning Streak Comes to an End

Entering the New England Regionals last weekend, the U16 Premier team was on a roll, having not lost since they fell to the NJ Titans in ECEL play on October 14th. The team extended its win streak to six games with a dominating 8-2 win over the Rhode Island Hitmen in its first game, but they were not able to parlay that success into the rest of the weekend as the team was outscored 7-2 in their final two games.  Next weekend, the U16 Premier squad will head down to Long Island to take on the top ranked Long Island Gulls on Saturday at 12:45 PM.

U16 American Spilt AYHL Games

This weekend saw the U16 American team put up 10 goals across two games on the weekend. Nine of the goals came on Saturday against the Mercer Chiefs in a 9-3 winning effort. The scoring was spread out across their lineup as Troy Gouveia, Jason Fisher, Christopher Hoyecki, Knut Hornkvist, Shane Parent, and Robert Nolan all had two points.

The U16 American team will play two games this weekend against the NY Saints on the road on Saturday before returning home to face in-state rival Connecticut Chiefs on Sunday.

U13 EHP Keep Building

The U13’s power play was clicking on Saturday as the team earned a tie against the New Jersey Titans at home on Saturday night. Their offense was led by Jovanni Smergello and Jake Gouveia who each found the back of the net. Then on Sunday, the team played VT Dynamo and were swept by a combined score of 9-4.

Next weekend, the U13 squad will head down to Philadelphia and play four games across two days against Team Virtua, Valley Forge Minutemen and Philadelphia Little Flyers.
