16U Forward Nickerson Drafted by Acadie-Bathurst Titan in QMJHL

Guilford, Conn. - Elite Hockey Program starts yet another week with a new draft pick; this time, it’s Logan Nickerson from our U16 Premier Full Season Program. Logan, a long-time Elite Hockey Program player, was selected in the 11th round of this year’s Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) draft by the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

“Getting drafted is a big accomplishment. I’m excited to start the next chapter, but I wouldn’t have been able to do it without Elite. They really formed me into the player I am today,” said Nickerson, who has been a crucial piece to the development and success of Elite Hockey Program.

Logan played in the 15U division in both the Atlantic Youth Hockey League and the East Coast Elite League for Elite Hockey Program this past season. He tallied 15 goals and 5 assists for 20 points in 30 AYHL league games. As for ECEL play, he found himself among the league’s leading scorers with 6 goals and 10 assists for a total of 16 points. The right handed power forward thrives because of his grit, shot, and team-first mentality.

The QMJHL has teams scattered across Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia and it is one of three sub-divisions in the Canadian Hockey League (CHL). Seeing as though world class players, such as Sidney Crosby, choose to compete in the QMJHL year after year, their player development and reputation for sending players to the National Hockey League and other comparable professional leagues is second to none.

Elite Hockey Program once again wishes to congratulate Logan on this accomplishment, and we look forward to seeing what the future has in store for him!
